What a beautiful scenery, and a very well composed picture.
It must have been quite an experience with a biketrip in this landscape.

Thanks Inger Anne! I always appreciate your great comment.

This island is rather small; only around 2000 people live there and its circumference is about 10 miles. So it would be no longer than one hour to ride around but I stopped in every minute to take photos, to collect beautiful shells or just to enjoy the nice weather and the sight. It would be more practical just to walk around ;)

And a group was worrying about me being late, so late (hours) – they were waiting for me at Fintray Bay, with a barbeque party, but finally I arrived :)

This seems to be a well organized landscape:
Grass, rocks, sand, a thin line of green, all in bands; sea, backgound and threatening clouds.
I think that your composition accentuates this subdivision in bands. But the clouds and the sea are what makes the picture change from just a strict composition to interesting.

Hello Judit

This was a really good landscape portrait! All the elements in this picture is very well placed, I like your composition a lot. The colour saturation is also nice throughout the photo. I've seen some other pictures from Scotland lately and I must say: There are quite a lot of interesting sceneries over there!

Thanks for the new comments!

Odd Tore: My favourite part on this photo is the dark clouds over horizon :)

Andreas: Scotland is full of beautiful and interesting attractions (castles in countryside, mostly) what fascinate me over and over again.

Hello Judit! This is a beautiful photo:-) Very good composition and lovely colours. As yours, my favorite part on this photo is the dark clouds over the horizon. But I love the sea too and the pink beach suits very well. Of course:The nature is the greatest artist and you have done a good job here:)

Thanks Inger-Lise for your great comment! I agree with your sentences - basically with you :)

Avsluttet .

Hei Judit.

Fint bilde!

I think Odd Tore's comment sums up my thoughts about this photo quite perfect, so you defenitely did a great job when composing all those interesting elements into your photo. Nice!

Just beautiful........... where are you from Judit
Ketil K.

Nice picture with good composition.

Some proposals:

I'd like to see even more dynamics in the picture, i.e. more wide angle used, and if possible a higher standpoint. You could then squeeze out more of the dramatics in the cloud formation and get a more compressed beach at the same time.

A person, or some footsteps in the sand or both could give more dimensioning and some focused details.

The exposure itself. The front part is a little too light, and should be lowered a bit in layermasking or other partial treatment. The light clouds in upper left corner could also be darker, they take a little too much attention now.
