Agree very much with the comment of Judit - except the last sentence, which I oppose strongly, because the retro-perspective is to my mind a dead-end, since too much ruled by formalism.
As the main fascination of this well-known motif the vantage point is driving the image, the integration of the main subject in it's surrounding creates the experience of reflecting the building in a better way than the most common frontal shots of tourist attraction's all over the world.
An image like this is coming along with the taste of walking around, trying to sense view, atmosphere and the transportation of such into an expression - an image.

When looking longer - I think I personally would prefer a crop just below the lowest roof of the house in the foreground.

But as said before - I really agree with Judit - the image has a taste of Italy - a good taste :)
