Notre Dame

Sorry - but this one doesn't work for me at all - and in a way - it seems so different in all terms from most other images from you - it's almost strange.
Personally I really can't relate to the motif, subject etc. at all - and this of course doesn't help to look too enthusiastic into an image - but beside of this - and the crop of the legs like already mentioned by yourself - to my mind you could increase something by toning the harsh light a bit down ( curves fks. - tried it - and looks right away better to my mind ).
Since sharpness - or better missing sharpness is a case here - maybe even there some careful adjustments would save a bit from he subject.
Since it was a shot taken by passing by - it could be said that light etc. needs to be accepted like it is - still - when you look towards the head of the guy - a few steps to the side - and you would have had a free '' head '' - lowering your position might would have give you a much better background - and with the right lens-opening a calm, main-motif supporting background - smoothly blurred ?

You might also try to turn it into S/H - some parts are better that way, even though the head is still too far out in the image - this should have been your main aim, because this is what on a later point will become the key to the image.
When people watching such a photo can see the face, can read his expression - together with his rather peculiar surroundings he will become a ''character'' - and you have an image.

Not that big of a deal - just stopped and started to think what to do with this image...
No hard feelings - ok ?
