I like this image - it is a bit on the edge with pushing the sort of "gammeldags" feeling, but it is well done, and earns the credit for it.
Position and framing of the main subject works great, the eyes towards a coming adventure, task, challenge etc. - is an interesting and lively part of the image.
Gesture and clothing accomplish each other - and a young, but still heroic face of the man add the last touch.

As said - maybe a touch too much in love with this effect of old school images of explorers etc. - but it absolutely works an dis to my mind quite attractive.
