It is a bit difficult to really say something about this photo - the quality of the scan with so many dust and spots makes it hard to see what is related to the photo - how much colour, contrast, sharpness has been lost etc.
But, there is a charm related to this image - the veteran theme is too many times covered with smoking, sparkling polished trains - with no visual reference, context etc.
This picture - of the none polished tram, during a plain washing process has a real ''veteran feeling'', helped by the surrounding buildings of similar nature - and the strong contrast of the fresh and blue sky.
But - isn't it true that all colours are too light ?
The white on the front seems overexposed, and I have the impression that the whole image falls to the left.
Hope you don't mind - but I think the image has a charm, is well seen - and has simply too many flaws - and they do not look intentional .
